Over 100 people came out to Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro on Sunday to participated in the annual Waynesboro/East Augusta Crop Hunger Walk, which is part of a nationwide effort to fight hunger across the globe.
On Friday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Women’s Health Protection Act by a narrow margin of 218-211. The bill would codify Roe V. Wade and protect women’s access to abortion across the country.
Saturday was National Public Lands Day, and people all over the country were volunteering to protect national parks, including one group in the Valley that is dedicated to taking care of Shenandoah National Park.
While health officials say there’s no rush to get that extra dose, once you’ve been fully vaccinated for six months, you will be able to get the shot either through a pharmacy, primary care physician or health department clinics.
